Code in the Schools was founded in 2013 with the mission to expand computer science education opportunities for underserved and underrepresented youth in Baltimore, in order to prepare them to be active participants in growing technology sectors. Since its founding, Code in the Schools has seen its budget and program grow by 30-50 percent each year. Still, demand is greater than capacity, and with rapid growth comes the need to assess and reconsider organizational structures. This Management Assistance Grant provided funds for strategic planning.
