Govans Elementary was a traditional neighborhood-zoned public school until 2014, when Baltimore Curriculum Project converted the school to charter status, retaining the neighborhood zone. Govans is currently in a swing space while their new 21st Century School building is being constructed. This grant provided funds for a Community School Coordinator, whose focus is on supporting families and building an enrollment pipeline to ensure that Govans successfully navigates the transition period and returns to a new facility fully enrolled.
