The Maryland Farmers Market Association was founded in 2012 with the mission of creating a vibrant and sustainable network of farmers markets in Maryland. MDFMA’s organizational goals are to (1) expand access to quality, nutritious, and locally produced food for all Marylanders, (2) support local agricultural producers, and (3) strengthen farmers markets as community cornerstones that provide inclusive public spaces and generate economic activity. This $15,000 Management Assistance Grant provided funds for a consultant to help MDFMA develop a strategic plan.
