Maryland Food Bank

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the Maryland Food Bank already faced a hunger crisis in Baltimore City. Year-round, there are more than 309,000 individuals in the city suffering from food insecurity. During the pandemic, the Food Bank has seen its need skyrocket, as community partners moved quickly to more than double their normal distribution volume in order to serve food insecure Baltimore City residents affected by the current crisis. This grant provided funds to support the Maryland Food Bank’s COVID-19 Food Access Response Plan.
