Pigtown’s proximity to the I-95 corridor, the University of Maryland, Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium, and downtown Baltimore, as well as access to public transportation, makes the area a prime location for new small business development and investment. Pigtown Main Street’s primary mission is to enhance the Washington Boulevard commercial corridor, Pigtown’s main business artery, by improving its aesthetics, promoting banded events, connecting community institutions and protecting the Pigtown identity. This $17,500 grant provided funds for general operating support.
