Pigtown Main Street is a member of Baltimore Main Streets and an accredited member of National Main Streets. The organization works to enhance the Washington Boulevard commercial corridor by improving its aesthetics, promoting branded events, connecting community institutions and protecting the Pigtown identity. Pigtown Main Street has succeeded in attracting new businesses and enrolling a local convenience store in the Baltimore City Health Department’s Healthy Corner Stores program to increase access to fresh food. This grant of $17,500 provided core operating support.
