Baltimore Lab School

Founded in 2000, the Baltimore Lab School (BLS) educates students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD in grades 1-12. BLS is a small school that offers hands-on, arts-based learning, and graduates 100% of its students (as opposed to the state average of 54% graduation for special education students). BLS receives tightly restricted government funding attached to students who receive placement due to inadequate public-school options, and limited tuition money from parental placements. This management assistance grant provided funds for a consultant to develop a strategic fundraising plan.
