Banner Neighborhoods started in 1982 as a small neighborhood project helping senior homeowners on fixed incomes maintain their homes and live independently in their neighborhood. Over the years, Banner evolved into a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting residents in their efforts to enhance the quality of life throughout East and Southeast Baltimore, primarily through youth programs, senior home maintenance, and neighborhood beautification projects. This grant provided core operating support.
