Venture for America (VFA) is a nonprofit organization that aims to strengthen U.S.cities and promote job creation by directing highly-talented, recent college graduates into start-ups and growth organizations. In 2018, VFA placed 26 new fellows with 14 Baltimore companies. VFA focuses on cities that typically struggle to attract top talent, but have a strong commitment to revitalizing the regional economy through entrepreneurship. This grant provided $75,000 for core operating support, and another $25,000 challenge grant to be match 2:1 for expansion purposes.
