Since 1995, Baltimore Public Markets Corporation (BPMC) has maintained Baltimore City’s historic public market tradition by selling fresh and prepared foods, providing affordable retail opportunities for locally owned businesses, and supporting neighborhoods’ commercial centers. Hollins Market is one of six public markets operated by BPMC, and one of four public markets to recently undergo significant renovations. This grant provided support for first-year operations of The Market at Hollins, a small-scale grocer offering prepared foods, and SNAP-eligible dry goods, pantry staples, and fresh produce to local residents.
