The Alma Artist Collective (AAC) was founded in May of 2020 in the formerly vacant Alma Manufacturing Co. building in SW Baltimore. The AAC is a 2,000 sq. ft. space for visual artists and handcraft makers that has become a rallying point for community members between the Carroll Park and Carrollton Ridge neighborhoods. AAC’s founder has stabilized the building and started offering limited programming to the community. This grant provided core operating support.
