The mission of the Black Executive Directors Network is to empower Black Executive Directors as they navigate the systemic challenges in the nonprofit sector by providing access to community, capital, and equitable development
growth opportunities. Having fewer resources, Black-led organizations often serve the most vulnerable and
disadvantaged populations with the least funding. This effort, launched in 2021, creates space for members to increase their impact within the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. This grant provided operating support.
