Code in the Schools was founded in 2013 with the mission to expand computer science education opportunities for underserved and underrepresented youth in Baltimore, in order to prepare them to be active participants in growing technology sectors. Since its founding, Code in the Schools has seen its budget and program grow by 30-50 percent each year. After leading the organization through 10 years of impressive growth, Code in the Schools’ founding Executive Director has begun planning her departure. This Management Assistance Grant provided funds for Executive Search.
