Mary Harvin Transformation Center (MHTC), the community development corporation of Southern Baptist Church, is developing the $32M Southern Stream Health and Wellness Center in Broadway East. The Center includes over 120,000 square feet of commercial, medical/office and community facilities space. Medical services will be provided through a partnership with Johns Hopkins, the anchor tenant. Total project financing is secured and scheduled to close in early 2024 with a groundbreaking to follow. MHTC recently acquired an adjacent 25,000 sq ft warehouse to renovate into the Southern Bridge Career and Education Center, which is planned to include 10,000 sq ft of new childcare space, as well as classroom space for apprenticeships and certification programs.
