Saint Luke’s Youth Center (SLYC) is a dynamic collaborative of West Baltimore families who are working to provide their youth with the resources, experiences, and support they need to not only survive, but to thrive. SLYC was founded on the principle of collaboration, emphasizing the strength of community members working together. SLYC develops and utilizes parent leaders who serve as staff members and set priorities for the organization’s development. The program has grown in size and scope since its inception in 2015, and has recently added more staff roles, including a full-time Program Director. This Management Assistance Grant will fund a community-driven strategic plan that will help them achieve expanded impact and enduring operational and financial sustainability.
