The Baltimore Furniture Bank (BFB) delivers dignity, stability and comfort to people moving from short term or chronic homelessness into permanent housing by providing them with gently used furniture and household goods. BFB partners with a variety of other non-profit organizations such as Project PLASE, St. Vincent DePaul, and IRC to deliver furniture and household goods annually to 600-700 underserved individuals and families entering permanent housing. The Furniture Bank also works to improve access to employment and economic opportunity for jobseekers by providing 8-10 full-time warehouse jobs to people in underserved communities. This grant provided core operating support.
