The 6th Branch utilizes veteran leadership skills in the spirit of service to partner with communities to strengthen Baltimore neighborhoods.
Founded in 2010 by military veterans in Baltimore, The 6th Branch (T6B) was born from a desire to continue serving—at home. Recognizing the deep inequities and the immense potential in disinvested neighborhoods in East Baltimore, The 6th Branch’s founders set out to apply the discipline, teamwork, and mission-driven leadership they had honed in military service to community revitalization. Over the 15+ years, The 6th Branch has grown from a small veterans service club into a trusted steward of 22.5 acres of community-controlled green space across Baltimore.
