UMBC Shriver Peaceworker Fellows Program
Each year, UMBC’s Shriver Peaceworker Fellows Program supports 12-20 graduate fellows in a two-year leadership pipeline for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers that integrates community service, graduate study, and ethical reflection.
Fellows server with organizations across Baltimore for 20 hours per week while pursuing their degrees and contributing to the City’s civic leadership. As of 2026, roughly half of the 240 fellows to have come through the program over 32 years have remained in Baltimore.
